I recommend The Test

I recommend the Test by Room 18 at Point England because I enjoyed the topic of the movie and the great acting. This movie is very funny and I recommend watching The Test.

Superstar comments

We have been learning to write a comment on other students blogs. We have been learning this because it helps with our writing and thinking.I think I leave good comments because I check if I have good ideas and if it is a positive, thoughtful or if it is a helpful comment. I have learnt to be specific and to access other peoples blogs. I really enjoy reading their interesting stories and blog posts. I hope  it will help them and they would want to write more. Here is a blog comment that I left on someone's blog. This is a good comment because it is positive and specific. Also I have asked a question to add more to the conversation.

12,000 employed workers!

The year 8 students of Tamaki Intermediate school went to the airport recently. There has been a lot of changes. The airport is a place where overseas people come to our country. There are 22 airlines operating from the airport. The airport has more than 12000 people working there.
We met a lady called Tiana Samasoni, she is a school educator. A school educator takes care of schools from all around Auckland and teaches them what the airport is about. Approximately 300 Auckland Airport staff are in full time positions, that's almost 12,000 employed at the airport. The airport was built in 1965 on 24th of November. There are at least 800 businesses around the airport. Did you know that 24/7 the Auckland Airport operates without a curfew? all day everyday, 365 days a year.
The International flights are for the overseas and other countries and the domestic is only for around New Zealand.

Inter Zone Boys Softball Championship Tournament

L.I I am learning to write a report.

On Tuesday 13 March 2012 Tamaki Intermediate School boys represented the Eastern Zone at the  softball tournament at Rosedale park, Albany. We had three games to play and we had no warm ups and no time to throw balls around to our team mates because when we reached the softball grounds our game had started.

Our first game was against Sommerville Intermediate School. We batted first. Their catcher would just put his glove up in the air, the pitcher would under arm the ball into the catcher's glove so fast and accurate that it was a strike. They got us out like nobody was batting and we couldn’t keep count of the points and we lost.

Our second game was against St  Peter’s college and we lost here too because the pitcher was like an international softball pitcher. It was hard to swing against the ball  because it was too fast.

Our final and the last game was against Glen Eden Intermediate and it was a hard and tough game.  We were playing  well and we caught up with the points 3 all but then at the end they had two more points so they won by 2. The points were 3-5.

I had a wonderful day and it was nice playing against other schools, I was proud of our team because we played as a team and we played with sportsmanship spirit.
